Limited Edition Pin - Tumble & Rose in aid of Butterfly Conservation
One of the things I’ve been pondering lately is how I can make more of a positive impact with my little corner of the internet – I’ve reduced my packaging, focused on using recycled materials, cut out plastic and only use ethically sourced stones in my rings, but there’s still so far to go, so I’ve decided to create a little range each season or so to raise funds for conservation charities (this might also expand into human based charities depends on the cause, but at the moment I’m focusing on the environment).
Tumble and Rose has always been driven by my interests (stars, crystals, plants…) so it seems the natural next focus is butterflies! I’ve been obsessed since I was a child, and an ex boyfriend’s mum even got me a butterfly farm once to grow some from caterpillars for release into the wild. Our garden is currently attempting to cultivate a little wildflower patch, and I have a bug home in the back waiting for inhabitants.
The very first charity for Spring/Summer 2019 is Butterfly Conservation which focuses on conservation and research projects to protect the UK Butterfly and Moth population. I’ll donate the funds monthly at the end of the month based on the amounts raised, and will screen shot the process and include in my monthly updates.
I’ve designed a limited edition hard enamel pin – my super glittery take on the Cabbage White, and a sterling silver butterfly stacking ring. £2 from each pin and £3 from each ring will go to Butterfly Conservation to help fund their work. I’ve also signed up as a member, so can include any news I hear.
So, that's my news! I'm super excited about how the pin turned out - it's more beautiful than I could imagine. Keep your eyes peeled on the blog for the April recap where I'll include the first donation amount!
