I'm Helen, the person behind Tumble and Rose. This is my blog, Freckle Faced, Plant Based, where I'm hoping to blog about all the non-jewellery related stuff, like vegan baking, beauty stuff and general life. (Plus I think it's always nice to know a little bit more about the person that made your jewellery right?!)
In terms of my jewellery background, I've actually been making it since I was 11 (now mid twenties!) and I've not stopped since. I started out making things with beads and would spend my teenage weekends trawling bead shops for beautiful new bits. I've since moved onto different techniques, including electroforming to combine my love of jewellery and crystals (which is how Tumble and Rose got started) to silversmithing, which is my most common technique these days.
Outside of T&R, I'm actually not a jeweller by trade - more the complete opposite - I'm a chartered accountant, having studied Economics at Cardiff Uni, and taken a graduate job at a huge firm where I studied for my ACA and stayed for 6 years.
I live with my husband James and our house bunny Dusty in our first home - a new build townhouse just outside Winchester in England. This was a super blank canvas when we got the keys and it sparked my love of interiors and also gardening! Our vegetable patch is my pride and joy in the summer months.
Hobbies wise, I do lots of yoga, aerial hoop, kickboxing, crochet, reading, gardening and I'm always trying a new craft!
